Information About Immigration and Refugees
Websites
There are, as you can imagine, lots of websites offering information about immigration and refugees. Here are some of the better ones known to us:
On worldwide refugee issues:
- Two of the best sources are the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the formal name of the United Nations refugee agency, and Church World Service.
On U.S. immigration issues:
- Here in Massachusetts, the UCC Mass Conference, UU Mass Action, and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA) all have good websites with information and links.
- Nationally, the UCC, UU, and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC) are good sources about faith-based immigration activity.
- Three non-profits doing thoughtful work on immigration issues, with lots of good information, are the Migration Policy Institute, which has a worldwide focus; the American Immigration Council; and the National Immigration Forum.
