Lent & Easter 2026

Lent is a sacred season in the life of the church — a time to slow down, reflect honestly, and turn our hearts toward God. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing through Palm Sunday, we invite you to journey with Hancock Church through these forty days of prayer, repentance, and renewal.

Mondays 9:30am-10:00am on zoom / Feb 23 thru Mar 30

Begin the week with prayer from the personal to the global. Lift up joys and concerns and pray together. Led by David.

Death Cafe

Sundays in the Pearson Room 11:00am – 12:30pm / Feb 22 and Mar 22

An informal conversation about death and dying from the spiritual to the practical. Share thoughts, worries, stories, about the end of this life. Led by David and Barbara. Snacks will be provided.

Workshop, dinner, & worship with the imposition of ashes. 


Rise Against Hunger, March 8, 2026

Sunday, Mar 8 in the Dining Room at 11:30am – 2:00pm

Community members of all ages are invited to join a volunteer day with Rise Against Hunger, an organization working worldwide to provide emergency hunger relief and support long-term food security initiatives. Together, we will work to pack twelve THOUSAND nutritional meals to send to a community in crisis. Spread the word to friends and neighbors . . . all are welcome!


Holy Week & Easter at Hancock Church

Easter is more than one Sunday—it’s a season of worship, reflection, and celebration. Hancock Church invites you and your family to experience Holy Week through a variety of meaningful services, from Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday to Easter morning worship and a fun Easter Egg Hunt. Whether you join us for one service or all of them, you are welcome here.


Palm Sunday Worship

Join us as we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Palm Sunday worship is filled with joyful music, scripture, and the waving of palms as we begin our journey through Holy Week together.


Maundy Thursday

Apr 2 at 6:00pm in the Dining Room

A service of love, humility, and remembrance
On Maundy Thursday, we gather to remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ command to love one another. This meaningful service invites us into reflection, prayer, and communion as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday.


Good Friday Service

Apr 3 at 7:00pm in Clark Hall

Our Good Friday service is a time of quiet worship and reflection on Christ’s sacrifice. Through scripture, prayer, and music, we pause to remember the depth of God’s love shown on the cross.


Easter Sunrise Service

Apr 5 at 6:00am at the Old Belfry

Celebrate the resurrection at dawn
As the sun rises, we rejoice in the good news: Christ is risen! Our Sunrise Service is a beautiful, hope-filled celebration of resurrection and new life.


Easter Sunday Worship Service

He is risen—alleluia!
Celebrate Easter morning with joyful worship, inspiring music, and a message of resurrection hope. This service proclaims the victory of life over death and the promise of new beginnings for all.
