Youth Programs

Ages 5 – 12

Pastor David sitting with children during Mass.

Children ages 5-12 are invited to Church School, led by the Director of Youth Ministries and Outreach and the Student Minister for Children and Families, on Sunday mornings. Children leave the worship service after the children’s time and go to our educational wing, where they share and learn about the theme and scripture passage of the day. Most Sundays the theme and scripture passages are the same for both the worship service and Church School. This allows families to discuss and explore the same themes together throughout the week.

We have nursery care for children ages 0-4.

Hancock Youth Group (HYG)

Our HYG for high school students is a place for young people to explore spirituality, friendships, and grow in their unique identity as a child of God. HYG meets weekly at 7pm and is led by our Director for Youth Ministry & Outreach. They gather for games, outings, activities, and sharing their journeys, challenges, and stories with each other.

Middle School Youth Group (JYO)

Our JYO group for sixth through eighth grade meets after Sunday morning worship and is led by our Youth Ministry & Outreach Director and Minister for Children and Families. They play games, participate in service projects, and do retreats together all in the context of spirituality.

Along with regular meetings for games and fellowship, JYO also hosts Confirmation and Our Whole Lives (OWL) relationship and human sexuality on alternating years.
